I am not sure what it is lately but it has taken me nearly 2 weeks to complete this shoot for this apartment owner. It is a holiday apartment and the owner lives in Sydney. He asked me to shoot the apartment and to also get some location shots. The apartment is in Palm Beach so places like the SLS clubs nearby, the Pirate Park, the boardwalk these types of areas. The 1st wait was for a “Blue Sky day ” to shoot inside the apartment so that the view outside indicated a beautiful day. The 2nd wait was for a ” blue sky day” so I could shoot the outside areas SLSC’s etc. Yesterday the wait finally came to an end with a beautiful afternoon sky lit up the Gold Coast. I was able to finish the shoot and get the Images off to the client in Sydney. Weather for weddings is not the only weather that a Gold Coast Photographer has to worry about. Many of my building clients want blue skies for their building projects too.

Recently I was asked by Glenzeil, one of the leading Gold Coast Builders to shoot some Images of their new project the Robina Health Precinct Building. It had only just been built but was already operational. This always presents challengers when shooting because you have to be mindful of the people, ie staff & patients making sure you are not getting their faces in any of the shots. I had an escort from the Robina Hospital Media department to assist with gaining access to some of the more sensitive areas of the new precinct. It is also always a challenge balancing the light in some of the bigger areas particularly when there is a lot of outside light. I love this shot of one of the foyer areas. As a working Gold Coast Photographer I always try and pick one Image from each shoot that I like just for me.

Having worked in nightclubs, bars & hotels through my teens & into my twenties there was always a distinctive smell about these areas. Not anymore ! They smell fresh & clean and a refurb is done nowadays because the owners want to rather than have to. The banning of smoking in Pubs & clubs has made a huge difference & I am sure there many bartenders and waitresses living longer without the 2nd hand smoke all night. Platinum nightclub approached me again to their new refurb. It comes up a treat and I am also looking forward to shooting Shuffle another nightclub in Surfers Paradise on Monday afternoon. Always a challenge to shoot indoors but as a gold coast photographer I love taking up that challenge.

Gold Coast Portrait Photographer

These Images were taken at the Christening of the Hatzimahail girls at the Greek Orthodox Church in Brisbane last month. I had never been inside a Greek Orthodox Church before and it was spectacular. The murals and artwork on the walls and ceiling were fantastic and i hope my Images do them justice. The ceremony was slightly different to the Christian idea of wetting the babies head with Holy water. In a Greek Christening they put the whole baby into the water. After the ceremony the family and friends went to a Greek restaurant in the West End of Brisbane. Although primarily I am a Gold Coast based Photographer I will travel for special people & occasions. This was one of those occasions.

These Images are from a recent Stock Photography shoot I did in my Studio with a Brisbane model, Chivon. Stock Photography is an area that I am interested in moving into – Do a job once and get paid forever- is the motto I am stealing from Brad Sugars, one of the worlds best action coaches. How it works is that i take a themed set of photographs and upload them to a Stock Library. There are host of people that find it more economical to rent the use of that Image rather than commission a photographer to go out and shoot a new Image. They would then rent the use of that Image for use in their own project, book, magazine etc I get paid a usage fee depending on where & how many will be published. The Gold Coast is full of interesting models and locations and I am trying to shoot at least one a month. As a Gold Coast Coast Commercial Photographer I am always looking at new and interesting ways to develop my craft.

I was recently asked to shoot a Family/Corporate Portrait for my friends Troy & Noriko. Noriko had her family here from Japan and wanted to take the opportunity to get some family shots. Troy is starting a new business with Noriko and needed some nice relaxed shots of himself with Noriko for their new website. We went to the top of Burleigh hill and got some nice shots. I thought the shots are better at Nth Burleigh looking back over Surfers Paradise. It was a fun shoot & the Gold Coast is such a great place to shoot family portraits because there are so many amazing locations near by. As a Gold Coast Photographer its great to be able to help people that are starting something new and at the same time give them some memories that they will hopefully treasure forever.

These Images are from the recent Mitre 10 conference at the Gold Coast Convention Center. I was asked by GCD a leading stall and display manufacturer to photograph this display that they had done for Mirabella. It was an amazing display and their clients were very happy with the result. I hope the images do it justice. As a Gold Coast Event photographer i get to go to all the amazing events on the Gold Coast and love being able to satisfy my clients with some great Images.

These Images were for the Mid Town Pet Centre. A facility that takes care of your pet dogs & cats while you are away. It was a beautiful location and I thought that if it wasn’t for pets I wouldn’t mind spending more time there myself. It is located in the Tallebudgera Valley and I can understand why they are so busy. The surrounds are amazing and the animals are kept in a beautiful clean environment. I had never been to this type of facility before as i don’t have any pets but as a Gold Coast Photographer I am always seeing new and interesting things and places.
