I am amazed at the amount of Bridal couples that book a Gold Coast wedding photographer without looking at the photographers website. Does your photographer have a website ? If he doesn’t, why not ? Leads me to ask – how long have you been in business etc etc
2. Check out their Portfolio
Once you have established that they have a website, check out their portfolio. Do they have similar types of photos to the style that you want for your wedding photos ? Do you have any idea what style of photos you want ?
3. Meet them in Person
Reputable Photographers will have no problem with a face to face meeting. At this meeting you need to make sure that you like their personality, you also need to see some more of their photography work. A Gold Coast Wedding Photographer will have a number of pieces of work that he/she has shot at other weddings.
4. See how they work
Many Gold Coast Wedding Photographers will offer some type of Engagement shoot as an incentive to try and get you to book them for your Wedding. I would suggest you take up the opportunity. Its a great way to see how that particular Gold Coast Photographer works and see some of their work 1st hand.
5. Get a Coverage Agreement in writing before handing over money
Last but certainly not least, there should be some type of formal agreement in place in relation to the number of hours spent at the wedding, the number of images shot, how long the images will take to be delivered, how will they be delivered etc etc
